About SpyderFCS.com
SpyderFCS.com came to be through a desire to improve my web authoring skills and gain experience in the tools used for web publishing. Started roughly in October 2003, the site has seen 3 hosts, 4 major redesigns, and 283 entries to date. I have seen my focus shift from standard HTML to XHTML to PHP, from tables to CSS, and from Movabletype to Wordpress but most of all I have quickly fed my desire for design. Most of all, SpyderFCS.com is a personal learning tool for all things technology related and a place in which I can archive my thoughts, feelings, and random oddities
About Bradford McGonigle
I was born on April 18th, 1982 in New Jersey where I lived until age 12 when I moved to Georgia. After High School I was accepted to the University of Georgia where I recently graduated from with a major in Economics. Although job hunting was interesting, I decided to do an intership with the Disney Corporation which I hope will lead to brighter things within the organization. Currently, I am working within the Walt Disney Travel Company Product Development as a Professional Intern in Celebration, Florida (basically, Orlando). As a career I would ultimately like to be in a field that requires a large amount creativity (i.e. Graphic Design, Advertising, Web Development, etc...) and certainly one which computers are a major focus.
I pride myself on being versatile in both my skills and beliefs. I am PADI scuba certified, was once both American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certified. I have held jobs which include data entry for a Medical group, 3 years of life guarding on Tybee Island, Georgia, and 2 years of working for the Terry College of Business Store at the University of Georgia. More information regarding my professional career can be found in the portfolio section.
Gadgets I Own
- Apple 12“ Powerbook
- Apple 15GB iPod (3rd Gen)
- LaCie 250GB d2 Hard Drive Extreme (external)
- Epson Stylus Photo RX600
I've been dreaming of owning a mac for years now and as of May 2005 it's finally come true. I opted for the 100GB Hard Drive and maxed out the RAM to 1.25GB (not from Apple of course).
Probably the best investment I have ever made. I use this every single day and have never looked back.
Hard drive space is precious, especially when you have around more then 5000 photos at 16mb a piece. This external drive has all the hook ups you could ever want, Firewire 400/800, USB 2 and even iLink/DV. Plus the solid metal design provides both function and style.
Printing, Scanning, and Copying, this combo printer does it all. I've printed everything from high quality photos to 10 page papers and the quality is wonderful. You can even print from memory cards without any computer at all.
- Vison 19" LCD Monitor
- Gateway 500S Desktop PC
- Canon Digital Rebel (300D)
I have reconquered my desk with the small footprint of this 19" LCD. I can turn this both horizontal (normal) and vertical to viewing long text documents or web pages. For the price, you can't beat it.
2.4GHz P4, 1GB Ram, 150GB HD, 256MB Radeon 98000 Pro, and a few other special touches. Far and away the best computer I've owned and has served me quite well.
This camera has practically changed my life. I like to think it started my flash of creativity I have been experiencing lately. Also, it allows me to publish my photos at F/1.8 (my photoblog)
