Surfing Etiquette Tips

Posted in General, Sports and Ego 3 years, 3 months ago.

Picture a wave coming with two surfers paddling for the same wave. Let’s say one surfer, named Bob, is on the left hand side (facing the beach) of surfer number 2, named Albert. The approaching wave has both a left and right hand shoulder so ideally one Bob would go left leaving the right for Albert. Unfortunately, Bob is paddling as though he is going to go right so Albert, being the surfer with proper surfing etiquette begins to pull out of the wave to allow Bob to go right. Bob then turns at the last second and goes left, leaving Albert with no wave and only a sour taste in his mouth.

As tip to the wise, don’t be a Bob.
