Why Wordpress?

Posted in General and WordPress 5 years, 4 months ago.

If you have ever considered starting your own blog or currently run one than you need to use (switch to) Wordpress as your publishing software. It’s free, open-source, and has a huge, very helpful community that has answered many of my questions no matter how noobish. I could go on about the technical reasons why you should use WordPress but if you’re like me then you get more value from the visually oriented presentations of what a publishing system can do.

To the right is a list of my favorite themes that were submitted for Alex King’s WordPress 1.5 Theme Competition. These themes can easily be applied to the latest build of WordPress. The best part is they are 100% free to download and use for your site layout using WordPress. So now you have no reason to have an ugly, non-standards compliant site.

If you don’t like my tastes in web design, then head over to the theme browser and leave some comments with the name of your favorites.
