March Madness Time
Posted in Memories and Sports 5 years, 4 months ago.
I almost forgot to post this before I headed out for Spring Break but obviously I remembered and now you can continue reading this important announcement…

I am very excited to carry on my first real ‘tradition’ here at SpyderFCS.com with the 2nd Annual March Madness Challenge. With the conference tournaments ending this weekend and selection Sunday only two days away, Men’s College Basketball is heating up for the craziest time of the year. I hope you will help me in getting as many people as possible to join in on the fun. Oh and did I mention prizes? That’s right, like last year I will be giving the follow prizes to the top three overall point leaders:
- First Place:
One Free Print of Choice from F/1.8, one $20 Gift Certificate to an online store of their choice, and a 256 MB Thumbdrive (if the winner already has one we can arrange something else). - Second Place:
One Free Print of Choice from F/1.8 and one $10 Gift Certificate to an online store of their choice. - ThirdPlace
One Free Print of Choice from F/1.8 and a $5 Gift Card for iTunes (or their music download service of choice)
How Do I enter?
Like last year, we will be using ESPN’s Tournament Challenge to carry out the picks and points system. Head on over and create an account if you don’t already have one. Once you’re logged in, you should see a link to ‘Create or Join a Group,’ click it. Search for ‘SpyderFCS.com MMC’ and there should only be one group to choose from. Click on the group name and under the big heading ‘SpyderFCS.com MMC Group Page’ there should be a link to ‘join this group.’ Once you click that you should be prompted for a password. The magic password is applepuppets. After that you should be all set up to make your picks (you can’t start making picks until March 13th ) but it is important to note that the actual tournament starts on March 17th and I believe once the tourney starts, your picks are locked in (even if you haven’t made some or any). Just to note, please only create one entry to give everyone a far chance of winning.
So yeah…let’s do this and do it better than last year. Get everyone in your office, your school, your room, your family, your pets, whoever and make this as large as possible!

If you are the in the top three in our group then you win the prizes as noted above but you also have the opportunity to win up to $10,000 from ESPN for just participating in the Tournament Challenge.
