FireFox and I

This ad was in the New York Times on December 16th, 2004. I had donated to Firefox and was able to get my name in the ad, highlighted below.

FireFox is a internet browser just like internet explorer (which you probably use). FireFox is the exact same thing but far superior in many ways. Anyway, it is a free application and they wanted to spread the word about it’s release to the world via a NY Times Ad. Because it is free, they asked for donations to fund the ad (full page ads in the NY Time typically go for $100,000) and since I have enjoyed using FireFox for quite some time now, I thought I would donate to the fund…hence my name appearing in the ad.

Thanks for the quick response and the education. We do use explorer, but have only heard of FireFox on your blog. Thanks again for responding - hope to see you soon. Till then Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
