G4 Shoots Itself In The Foot

Shocked! That is only word that could possibly define what I’m feeling about this. For those that have not yet heard, according to this article on kevinrose.com, the show Unscrewed on the G4/TechTV network has been canceled. And if that wasn’t enough for you, don’t worry there is plenty more. In addition to the surprising cancellation, G4 has also decide to get rid of three of the personalities from the extremely popular show, The Screen Savers.
I’ve been a follower of The Screen Savers since I first tuned in almost 5 years ago when I first started receiving TechTV. I was hooked from the moment I tuned in and have seen quite a few changes in that span of time. From new sets, new hosts, and format changes, most everything has only made the show better. I must say I was pretty upset that Patrick Norton from the original show wasn’t going to be moving to LA when G4 bought the TechTV network but I understood why and have since then followed his writings over at ExtremeTech and other various sites. The host that replaced Patrick was Alex and I’ve grown to enjoy is comical sarcasm. And to fire Yoshi….are they crazy! Yoshi is a kind modder and has had countless segments that have blown me away. The stuff he designs and builds is insane. Good Luck to all that were laid off and I can only hope G4 doesn’t completely ruin The Screen Savers.
