Legal MP3s?
Posted in Music 4 years, 2 months ago.
Wired Magazine has teamed up with various artists and put together a CD that is under a new kind of copyright. The article in which explains what exactly this CD is about and what exactly it is trying to accomplish can be viewed on Wired’s site here. Under a version of the Creative Commons license found here, sampling, re-sampling, and non-commercial sharing of the songs included are allowed.
Rip, mix, burn. Swap till you drop. The music cops can’t do a thing - it’s 100 percent legal, licensed by the bands. Call it copyright for the 21st century.
—Thomas Goetz of Wired Magazine
I’ve ripped the CD and made it available through SpyderFCS.com. The tracks listed below and 100% legal downloads. Click either the song title (to download the song) or the artist name (for a link to their respective web sites).
Opinion: These songs in no way represent my music tastes so don’t think for a second I “like” all these songs. They are free, their cutting edge (in the licensing anyway), and their free to share…that’s enough for me to enjoy them.

I was mislead by the engadget podcast to look for ‘the second song’ and finally your page (and the 4th download) allows me to have the file I wanted - the one from cornelius.
So big thank you
