My Life In A List

Posted in General 4 years, 7 months ago.

With the past few days, I’ve had some time to try to research a few things for the site and also other things for myself. I hope to show them soon but with all things, it takes time. I’ve been busy doing lots of various tasks from cleaning to cooking to playing xbox. To keep you informed, here is a condensed list of this weeks happenings:

CSS Will Rule Them All
I hope that each of you enjoy the various stylesheets I have in place on this site (in case you are a late comer, they are accessible via the small grey bars on the top of the right column). I had a lot of fun making them but I’ve made a decision to mix it up a little more. In the future, I want each stylesheet to be completely unique. This means not only a change in the banner and text color but a completely different design.

As a result, it would be helpful if you could contact me via e-mail or simply by commenting to tell me which stylesheet you use so I know which is the most popular.

MovableType 3.0…again
Two days ago I posted a somewhat angry banter directed toward SixApart regarding their MovableType 3.0 software. However, today I discovered that there was some confusion within SixApart and that the $69.99 price tag for 5 Blogs is actually for 5 separate web sites, not just five literal blogs. Regardless, I am still trying to decide if I want to invent in this system or just remain using the older free version.
Apple Delivers
Apple has had a very busy week. They have announce numerous products highlighted with upgraded Power Mac G5’s, a new wireless addition in Airport Express, and an update for the ever popular iTunes.

Airport Express

The Airport Express is the one I am most excited about (I would be about the new G5’s but I can’t quite foot the $2000+ price tag). Airport Express can be used in multiple ways by expanding your current wireless range (if you have a Airport Base Station) and simultaneously connected to your stereo system via standard audio cables to stream music from iTunes to your stereo anywhere in your home. Even still, perhaps the best part of the Airport Express is it’s tiny size and the fact it uses standard wall outlets.

Amazon Here I Come
In honor of setting up my deviantART wish list, I have taken the liberty to also set up a wish list on Amazon.com. It can be viewed here. But I do want to say that right now it is a short list with a few of the items being just a tad bit pricey but I have not taken enough time to really search for what I need.
Site Stuff
I have removed the TechTV feed within the right column as a result of the G4TechTV merger. I hope they will once again post the feed for use but until then, it’s gone. Also, the “song of the day” area may be changed to a “song of the week” due to my inability to keep up with the demand of finding a new song and album art each and every day. Please, if this will just kill you let me know.
