TechTV San Francisco Staff Sucker Punched

TechTV has been hit again. In wake of the soon to be merger of G4 and TechTV, Comcast has elected to fire the entire San Francisco staff of 285 workers. Very sad news indeed. Shows like the The Screen Savers, Call For Help, and X-Play are all among those that have lost their staff. Hopefully many of the current hosts will be able to relocate or come to some other agreement. Needless to say, I feel for each and every one of them.

I can’t believe any one would take Call For Help, Screen Savers, Big Thinkers, etc., from our view. Tech TV was a comfortable place to go to see what young and old were up to. A place to get the news. A place to go to learn and to get answers. A place to go to see old friends. A place I would often refer to my friends so they too could enjoy the best programming TV had to offer! What a sad day to see all this is gone–even the web site. Well, I don’t need to pay for digital TV any longer.
