Just to follow up on an article in which I stated that AOL would begin to allow users to retrieve their e-mail via third party mail client, it has finally happened and more into can be found at the Unofficial AOL Email FAQ.

I love the fact the companies are finally beginning to embrace a almost “open source” attitude. It can only mean good results when accessing e-mail and/or other everyday commodities becomes easier.

Enjoy!

If anyone knows how to set up this new AOL e-mail fr muliple screen names, I would love to know. It seems to not let me do it. Appreciate it

I’m not a big fan of IMAP, but have you tried accessing the separate SNs with a delay between each instead of checking all at once? I know ours on campus rejects you if you try to Send/Receive an account twice in quick succession. Might not fix your problem, but it’s worth a try.

CALVIN…do my eyes decieve me? I haven’t seen or talked to you in so long. Thanks for checking the site. It sucks I know ;-)

Thanks for the tip and I will have to try that when I get home. I wish they would just set up the e-mail as a pop3 but hey, it’s AOL…we can’t expect too much.
